- : I have used ReOrg many times without fault. The only time I ran into
- : trouble is when something else running in the background crashed the
- : computer. Oops. I then got to use another wonderful program called
- : DiskSalv. Do not run anything that you question the stability of while
- : running ReOrg. A crash hurts bad. I usually unload all commodities or
- : boot without startup and run it. I feel much safer then.
-
- You also have a lot more memory available, which speeds things up a lot.
- It's probably best to run SetPatch beforehand, though, and to activate
- whatever CPU caches you may have.
-
- A crash during an optimisation is very bad - you'll lose most of the data
- present in ReOrg's cache in the process; if you've got lots of memory,
- this could be quite a lot of data.
